LUC@176 will not only be the best comics event ever, but will also herald the publication of two-years-in-the-making comic BLOC by myself and Oliver Lambden, and as a special treat we have decided to upload the first few pages over the course of the next week in the run up to the event. The first three can be viewed here on the BLOC page (also linked at the top of the site), with new pages up every day from now until Saturday. Get ready for a Postmodern Fairytale…

Again, since finishing my exams I have been very bad and not uploaded anything on my site, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been sitting around twiddling my thumbs, oh no. Things continue apace with the LUC@176 event I am organising with the lovely Sean, in fact we’ve managed to budget so well that we have made it completely free to take part so if you haven’t been making plans to come and visit us on the 27th then you should start, it promises to be a great day. On a personal note, my hunting for a ‘proper’ job has, unsurprisingly given the current climate, not been going amazingly well, but my freelance work has got a bit of a boost. I’m about to start contributing to the Doctor Who DVD Files as an interviewer which should be good fun, and the Doctor Who Storybook continues apace. I’ve just seen the finished pages for my story Total Eclipse of the Heart with illustrations by the brilliant Martin Geraghty who’s completely nailed what I was aiming for. I promise to do some art soon, I want a few new canvases for 176 at least and I’ll drag out the old sketchbook at the next PubDraw every Monday at the Prince Arthur in Euston. |
