Well, now that it’s been mentioned here I am able to announce that I have written a short story for the BBC Doctor Who site, entitled “Blue Moon”. Set during the Apollo 11 mission, I’ve tried to make this story as ‘real time’ as possible, the events in the story corresponding to the day that each part is put up. I’m really proud of it and I hope you all enjoy it. In fact I enjoyed doing it so much I did a bit of fan art for the story which I hope will whet your appetite.
It’s actually my second short story for Doctor Who, my first being “Total Eclipse of the Heart” (anyone noticing the song title theme? No? Oh well) for the Doctor Who Storybook that will be out I think on the 1st of August and illustrated by the brilliant Martin Geraghty. Surprisingly, both stories are pretty hard sci fi (well, for Doctor Who anyway) but both have been a complete blast to write so long may my adventuring with the Doctor continue. Right, I’ll see you the other side of Torchwood…
Being a writer of Doctor Who means you can never play the Doctor, you’ll have to write for some young stud playing him
Well done matey!!!
